About me and my therapy practice
My name is Roz, I am a qualified and experienced therapist offering counselling to adults and young people. I also work with parents who are supporting their children with mental health challenges and self-harm.
I usually can offer one-to-one daytime and evening counselling and CBT appointments online or by telephone.
If this is the first time you’ve considered counselling, psychotherapy or CBT then you may feel a little overwhelmed by the task of finding a counsellor that you feel comfortable with. I hope that my website will give you enough information to help you make your decision to contact me by phone or email

My first session
First sessions are a chance for you to share a little more about the areas of your life where you'd like my support. They're also a chance for you to get a get a flavour or what working with me would be like. After your first session I would strongly encourage you to reflect on the session and reach a decision as to whether you'd like to book further sessions with me.
If after this first session you decide that you would like us to work together then I will offer you a regular weekly appointment, whilst we are working together this time of the week will be yours. Counselling is most effective when you come on a regular, weekly basis. If you do shift work we will agree together the best way of ensuring you receive regular counselling.
Counselling can be hard work but extremely rewarding. There may be times during our work together when you find the counselling painful or uncomfortable and you feel like you don’t want to come to counselling. That’s OK and it’s really useful to persevere at these times and be honest about what’s happening so that we can work together to understand your difficulties.

Availability
I currently have spaces available for individual supervision on Fridays via video and telephone.
About me and my therapy practice
I have dual trainings in both psychodynamic counselling and CBT, with PG Dip qualifications in both. I am qualified to work with both adults and children and have experience of supervising practitioners who work using a range of modalities.
I work relationally and encourage my supervisees to apply a full range of skills and theory (from their modality) in the practice.
My experience in safeguarding children and young people is extensive and I work part-time managing a counselling service at a South London youth counselling charity.
I meet the requirements for BABCP supervision and have completed the CYP IAPT supervision training at Kings College London.
Practice description
I currently offer supervision via video and telephone, I am also experienced in offering text based and email supervision. When life returns to "normal" post-Covid I will be returning to offering supervision at my practice in Purley CR8.
BACP recommendations are that you receive at least part of your supervision in the same format as you practice as a therapist. With this in mind I'd be happy to offer you supervision through the medium(s) that best reflect your own way of working.
