About me and my therapy practice

The process of finding a counsellor and beginning therapy can feel like a very daunting task, whether this is your first time, or if you have been in therapy previously.

My role as your therapist is to help you find your own solutions, whether that is making effective changes in your life, or finding ways of coping with your problems. It is not meant to be an easy process and will only work and be effective if you’re ready to be really honest with yourself, and put in the work between sessions.

Your problems are like you, unique and individual, and that is how I will treat you.

Practice description

Going at your own pace, we can assess your current situation, wants and needs, thoughts and feelings. I will support you in gaining insight and exploring your choices, and in moving towards change if that is your goal, or towards personal growth and development.

Our work together may include identifying patterns of behaviour that may no longer be helpful to you or challenging your self-concept or negative thoughts and feelings.

My first session

During our first session I will take a few personal details, and we will discuss what you would like to get from counselling.

Once we have agreed to work together, my commitment to you is open-ended.

If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact me.

What I can help with

Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Identity issues, Life coaching, Loss, Personal development, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Women's issues

Types of therapy
