About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Liz.
As a registered BACP therapist I offer face-to-face indoor sessions, zoom sessions and walking therapy in Didsbury and the surrounding areas.
Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy is both humanistic and versatile. Since studying TA, I truly believe that everyone has the capacity to change. I like to share elements of theory with my clients where appropriate and I work in a collaborative, non-judgemental way. My own personal therapy has been life-changing and I'm passionate about using my experience to help others. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions on how we could work together.
When working outside, I aim to employ the therapeutic benefits of nature as an integral part of my practice. I believe this less intense approach can enhance the effectiveness of psychotherapy. The format of walking side by side can work as a facilitator for an easy flow of conversation.
People seek therapy for different reasons. You may be suffering with low self-esteem, stress, anxiety or be going through a transitional phase in life. You may not know what it is that is troubling you. I offer a compassionate, confidential, safe space to explore what's going on for you on either a short or long term basis.
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a humanistic and versatile form of therapy. I also offer the opportunity to blend the therapeutic benefits of nature into our work.
The basis of walking therapy also draws on the scientifically-proven advantages of exercise on mental health and that movement encourages thought.
I am registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) and authorised to hold relevant sensitive personal information under appropriately secure storage.
My first session
I offer a free initial 20 minute consultation over the phone or online, via Zoom. We can use this as an informal opportunity to get to know each other a little more and chat about the reasons why you’ve come to therapy.
This is an opportunity for you to decide if I would be the most suitable therapist for you and a chance for me to check my skills match your requirements.
You will be invited to ask any questions you may have on the therapy process.
There is no obligation to enter therapy after our initial session.
