About me and my therapy practice

I offer long and short term counselling from a humanistic and integrative perspective.

I provide a calm and supportive space for you to talk through whatever is concerning you and to help you to find a meaningful way forward. This might be talking through a specific problem, taking time to make sense of different life experiences or finding ways of processing difficult emotions.

I also offer creative ways of exploring feelings and experiences through movement, dance, art and connecting with the natural world.

I have over 25 years experience in different settings including schools, health centres, charities and HE (counselling students, staff and trainee nurses and medics). I also provide specialist support for women, performers and musicians and people impacted by climate or environmental concerns.

Practice description

Face to face sessions are available at 'The Garden' and are either outdoors or in the different rustic indoor counselling spaces at the centre.

There is also the option of walking in the grounds of Meynell Langley Hall or sitting outside at 'The Garden'.

There is a large private outdoor space which can be used for creative ways of exploring and processing feelings through movement, music and dance.

Zoom and phone sessions are also available.

My first session

Your first session is at an introductory rate of £30 and will be 50 min long. It can take place face to face at The Garden or by phone or Zoom. If it's by Zoom I will send you a link by email before your first session. During the session we will discuss what brings you to counselling, what you need and whether I am able to offer what you need. There will also be chance to ask any questions you have about counselling. We will then create an agreement about how we will work together. Following this you can either book a number of sessions or book them one at a time as we progress. Sessions can be weekly or less frequently, based on your needs.
