I offer day time and evening sessions to suit your schedule. Sessions generally last about an hour and the number of sessions varies considerably depending on individual requirements.
About me and my therapy practiceThe journey of life is not always a smooth one. We all encounter difficulties, obstacles and stressful life events. If you are feeling stuck, trapped or confused with what life is throwing at you. If you find yourself time and again in the same unsatisfactory situations or relationships. If you have just had enough of feeling anxious, stressed, fearful, angry or depressed. Or if you struggling to come to terms with events or issues which have happened in your life?
I am a fully qualified professional counsellor and am registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I have a post graduate diploma in Professional Counselling and work within the ethical guidelines of the BACP.
I have a wealth of personal and professional experience working in areas such as stress, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, abuse, bereavement, personal development, coping with chronic illness, self-esteem and self-confidence.
I know from personal experience how difficult it can be to make that first phone call and walk through the door of the counselling room. I also know how worthwhile and life changing that first step can be.
As your therapist, I will be working hard to offer you a safe, confidential space where you can talk about yourself and your life and any areas which may be confusing, painful or feel difficult or stuck. You will have an opportunity to think and talk about yourself and your concerns in a way that might be difficult with family or friends. I will do my best to create a good therapeutic relationship where we can build trust and work together to help you make any changes you would like to happen in your life.
You will remain in control of the process and I will answer honestly and openly, any questions which you may have as we go along. I welcome and encourage any feedback you may have with regard to the therapy.
We will regularly review together to check that the pace and direction of the therapy is right for you
My first session
The first session is free of charge and a space for you discuss what brings you to therapy, whether counselling is the best next step for you and also to ask any questions you may have about how I work or more generally about the process of counselling.
