About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified BACP counsellor offering non-judgemental Person Centred therapy in a safe and confidential space in which to explore your feelings. My aim is to help you to express and understand your feelings and find a way forward that will help you overcome stresses and difficulties in your life. I am passionate about helping people suffering from depression and mental health issues and work together with you to find ways of coping and improving your well-being.
I have worked in a number of agencies and counselling settings, including Next Steps Depression Group, Sandhurst Counselling Services, Age UK, Fountain Centre and Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care. I have worked with a wide range of issues including:
Depression, Anxiety, Low self-esteem, stress, work issues, relationship difficulties, emotional abuse, loss and bereavement and drug and alcohol issues.
I believe that empathy and compassion are key to the counselling client relationship.
I am a humanistic counsellor and draw on a number of methods including, Person Centred, Gestalt and some CBT. This allows me to tailor therapy individually for each client.I offer appointments at your home or at my practice in Godalming or in Farnham/Guildford depending on time/date requirements
