About me and my therapy practice
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
I am a warm, open, empathic, Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a passion for helping clients feel valued, empowered and find inner peace. I draw on different theoretical approaches such as Person Centred, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Compassionate Focused Therapy which are tailored to support your individual needs. I work with adults from a variety of diverse backgrounds and experiences across the UK and abroad, offering both short term and long term therapy.
I am also a Trauma Informed therapist with experience of working with childhood trauma and survivors of sexual violence. My specific training in this area enables me to help you manage the impact of your trauma such as triggers, flashbacks, loss and depression and provide tools to help ground you in the here and now.
Life will inevitably have its challenges, whether that is either through your past or present experiences, work life or relationships and we can become engulfed in uncertainty, worry and fear. It could be that we start to doubt ourselves and feel that we are not good enough or we are unable to cope, leading to anxiety and depression. Whatever you are going through, it deserves care, attention and compassion and I believe that you have the inner wisdom to work through these issues with me as you are the person that knows yourself better than anyone.
I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic space for you to feel heard and understood. Together, we can explore those experiences at your own pace to make sense of how you feel and find the way forward.
It can feel very daunting when considering therapy but it will be brave step towards your journey of self awareness, self discovery and empowerment and I would be privileged to walk alongside it with you.
My first session
I offer a free, 20 minute telephone consultation where we can explore the reasons for reaching out for therapy and what you would like from our sessions. It will also give you a feel of how we will work together which will help you decide if we are a good fit together.
