About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Colin. I'm 65 and a father and grandfather. I have 17 years experience working with addictions and 10 years with families who have children with additional needs. I am very approachable and feel it is important to build trust in a counselling relationship before someone is able to share their deepest fears and concerns. I am a qualified Integrative Therapist which means that I will use approaches that fit with the way clients wish to work. I also have a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and encourage clients to work on strategies between sessions. I have been a Mindfulness practitioner for many years and use Mindfulness-based approaches for depression and anxiety. As well as private practice I also work for a counselling hub and see clients on a voluntary basis for two charities. I am an experienced trainer and qualified FE teacher and can offer training and group work.
Due to Covid-19 I currently see clients via online platforms such as zoom and by telephone. Once lockdown restrictions ease I am hoping to use a therapy room again. I offer a discount for clients seen by zoom or telephone
