About me and my therapy practiceCurrently offering online sessions via Zoom or by telephone.
Practice descriptionThe counsellor: I am a BACP Accredited and Registered Counsellor, bound by its BACP code of ethics and practice and subject to its complaint procedure. I work with clients on a once a week basis and would require you to commit to attending on a weekly basis. Once we agree our appointments I will hold the agreed time and day for you.
My first sessionYour First Session: The assessment session will give us an opportunity to get to know each other and assess if we believe we can work together in a way that will be helpful to you. I will ask some questions to help me understand you and your situation better. I will also ask about your general health and the contact details of your GP. At the end of the assessment we will consider next steps: we may decide to organise more sessions straight away, or you many wish to go away and think about this further. I will also consider if I have the appropriate skills to work with you. If I feel that another type of therapy or someone with different skills to mine would be better suited to you I will discuss this with you.
