About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Counsellor, experienced in working with young people and adults with a wide range of issues.
I have a special interest in stress and anxiety, in how the nervous system works and how it impacts our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
I use my experience as a Shiatsu practitioner and my mindfulness practice to help my clients to understand how their body and mind are relating to each other and incorporate mindfulness and relaxation exercises into my sessions where appropriate to help my clients to manage their anxiety symptoms.
From the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship, I am equally at ease using Gestalt creative techniques, Sandtray therapy or CBT and Solution Focused techniques for short term work.
My counselling style has been described as warm, friendly, compassionate and genuine. I offer a calm, welcoming and grounded space and a genuine interest and acceptance in all that you wish to bring to our sessions.
