About me and my therapy practice

During these current uncertain times, when face to face counselling is not always possible, I can offer online or telephone counselling.

I offer a free no obligation consultation, which is a chat either over the phone or online where we can discuss what has brought you to counselling and how it might help. This gives you a really good insight into how we might work together.

Practice description

I am a humanistic integrative counsellor, mainly person centered but I also draw upon aspects of CBT, TA, & Gestalt.

I am fully qualified and a member of BACP.

I provide a warm, friendly and supportive counselling service where you can feel safe to explore any anxieties, feelings and concerns you may have.

First of all I will listen, and give you the space to take time to explore what's going on in your life. Sometimes it may be a crisis that brings you to counselling, or just a feeling that you aren't happy and haven't been for a while. You may be at a low ebb and feel overwhelmed, through working together we can learn whats been going on for you, your feelings, any anxieties, and what, if anything has been holding you back. This exploration can lead to you gaining greater clarity and understanding of your life, and you. Working together we can find new ways of thinking, ways of coping, and help you move you forward.

I have worked in education and have great empathy for teachers and the workforce based in an educational setting and understand the difficulties faced which may impact on well being.

My first session

I am based in Highcliffe, Dorset at New Horizons Network, which is easily accessible from Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and the surrounding areas of the New Forest. The counselling room I use is covid compliant, light, airy and peaceful. It is a comfortable and confidential space with parking nearby. After an initial consultation we can either meet face to face if current Government regulations allow, or work online. I am happy to use various secure platforms such as Zoom or Teams whichever is preferred.
