I work all day Mondays and Wednesdays. I can work Thursday mornings and Friday evenings too.
Preference is for face to face but can work on Zoom if required.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Scott, I help people to understand themselves better and improve their lives. Are you are feeling overwhelmed at the moment, anxious, lost, hurt, angry, traumatised, stressed? If so, I have experience in helping people with all of the above. I support people to develop skills and techniques which help them connect with their experiences and emotions. I offer a warm, empathetic, non judgemental space for you to clarify, explore, and process whatever it is you're finding difficult at the moment.
I can help you decrease psychological tension, challenge irrational thoughts, and focus on the present moment. While studying a Masters in sport psychology I spent a lot of time researching mindfulness techniques which have been shown to help alleviate anxiety and depression. I also have a in-depth knowledge of self compassion techniques.
Practice description
I will make a genuine attempt to understand your feelings with a respectful sensitivity and sincere non-judgemental attitude. Above all I want you to feel heard and acknowledged in your unique experiences and emotions. I don't discriminate and welcome all clients from all backgrounds. My first session
I ask the client to fill in an assessment form before the first session. The first session is an exploration of where you'd like to go with your therapy. The sessions are yours to focus on you and you're the captain of the ship.
