About me and my therapy practice

I strongly believe in the powerful effect counselling can have.  I am passionate about empowering you through greater self-understanding, awareness and resilience to lead a more fulfilling and happier life. I believe that everyone has the capacity to make changes in their life or reach a greater acceptance of things that cannot be changed.

My aim is to provide you with a supportive and non-judgemental environment to explore your difficulties and experiences. I will work closely with you to understand what you would like from counselling.

I work with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, childhood trauma and abuse, effects of living in a controlling relationship and difficulties in adapting to life transitions such as retirement

My counselling room is just off Cheadle high street with lots of parking nearby and close to main bus routes.

My primary training is in the person-centred approach and I have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Salford. I have had further training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and supporting adults who have suffered childhood abuse.
