About me and my therapy practice

I have been qualified as a counsellor since 1998, but counselling has been my main job since 2006. Prior to this I worked in a number of social care settings both as support worker and as manager.

I am an experienced BACP Registered and Accredited Counsellor working with individuals, couples, and groups. I have been working in private practice since 2008 but have also worked for a number of organisations including Action on Addiction, Breast Cancer Care and NHS. I receive regular individual and peer supervision, and am committed to my own ongoing personal and professional development.

I have experience of working with a broad range of people and issues, including work with offenders, homeless people, addiction, learning disabilities, women survivors of rape and sexual abuse, domestic violence, mental health, chronic illness, palliative care, bereavement, and workplace issues.

I have been a Clinical Supervisor since 2012 (qualified 2013). My approach to supervision is based upon the person-centered model. I offer an experiential and collaborative space in which supervisees can explore their work. My approach includes elements of support, challenge, learning and quality assurance.
