About me and my therapy practice

I offer a relaxed, confidential quiet setting near to the centre of York. I have many years experience as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor in both private and NHS settings. I see people for both short-term and longer-term work. My aim is to help you to work through whatever issues you bring in an empathic and non-judgemental way. Whether you simply need to gain greater clarity and insight into a current problem, or if you want to work through more deep-rooted problems from the past, you can choose how long you stay and what you discuss in your sessions. Your issues can be personal, family or work-related or a combination of events and problems.  Your issues may have built up over time or happened very suddenly.  Whatever you are bringing we can discuss together and help you to find a way to resolve difficulties.  I work with individuals and couples.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision to qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. I am an integrative psychotherapist and therefore I am comfortable supervising a variety of theoretical models. Whatever the model, my approach is fundamentally relational. I aim to provide a warm, accepting and relaxed environment which is encouraging to you as a practitioner and will also support you to build on the experience you already have. I have a well-established private practice and alongside this I have also been a manger of an NHS counselling team. I continue to offer supervision to NHS counsellors. I do offer concessions if you are a student or working in the voluntary sector.
