About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Shabeena and I am an integrative Counsellor providing you a safe and confidential environment where you can talk in confidence exploring various issues or challenges which may be having an impact on your life physically, emotionally or on your mental well-being. I offer online and telephone talking sessions working with Adults and supporting young people.
I have supported clients within the NHS experiencing trauma/ grief through miscarriage's and still birth. depression, anxiety low self-esteem with both Adults and young people.
I am also currently working in a secondary school as a school counsellor helping support young people overcome issues which they feel are impacting on their mental wellbeing.
Together we look to explore these feelings enabling the right tools to look at ways they can manage, helping to build resilience and confidence in order for them to grow. Gain a much better understanding about themselves.
My passion is helping and supporting clients work towards a more fulfilling and rewarding life, I want to help support you to achieve your true potential and live the life you desire. This is why I will not tell you what to do but I will truly empathise and walk along side you through your journey. Together we can look to explore, find positive ways to help you move forward, coping mechanisms/ grounding techniques to help you manage should any obstacles come your way, help you to gain the confidence to take control of your own life. You may even ask yourself:
"Why has nobody told me this before?"
By taking the step and recognising that you need support from Counselling, which from my own personal experience I know can be very difficult, scary and you can feel alone, this not only shows that you feel ready to take the next step, it also shows Courage that you are allowing yourself to make these positive changes that can help you to see the world in a new perspective. Be free to live the life you deserve without being fearful.
I have no magical ability but as a person I am empathic, friendly, show compassion and my heart is huge. I want to feel connected with you, really show you that you are heard and worthy, build a trusting relationship together where you feel safe enough to explore any feelings you may be experiencing without feeling silly ( many clients have said to me) or judged. I am accepting, honest and genuine and all I ask is you be YOU.
My aim is to create this space for you so you can talk freely, express any emotions or hidden feelings you may have suppressed because the memories may be just too painful to face. Together with my support you can slowly peel back the layers (a bit like an onion) enabling you to make sense, giving you more of an understanding. It is only then when you can find hope for the future and inner peace within yourself. Recognising that it's OKAY to not always feel okay. Many of my clients say to me that they have recognised changes in themselves with their behavior, the way in which they manage challenges which they face and were once proven too much to cope with. They have gained the confidence and abilities to learn how to cope now which I feel shows that all my clients have demonstrated growth, strength and empowerment.

My fees are £40-00 per 55-minute session virtual
Payments are made via Bank Transfer.
Taking the first step and asking for help can feel so scary and overwhelming. I want you to know that I myself can relate to this as I have had to overcome my own personal challenges, faced things I would never like to face again, sitting in front of a complete stranger who is looking straight at me waiting for me to speak.
Our first session will be a free 20 minutes virtual meeting where here you are free to ask me any questions about how you feel or why you feel the need for counselling. I will also tell you about how the sessions work. It also allows you to get a feeling of me and what to expect, which if you feel is good for you then we will book a session.
