About me and my therapy practice
From a person centred perspective I integrate CBT and humanistic therapies into my sessions. Overall Im here to find out from you the client what you wish to discuss in your therapy' there are no boundaries to what you bring to session, because you are the expert in your life and thoughts etc. You will feel safe to discuss any issue because everything you talk about is confidential and Im bounded by the BACP ethical framework, to protect 'you' the client. Trust is important and I respect each an everyone that I see, trust is key to feeling able to talk, especially to a complete stranger. I consider myself empathetic an approachable person who respects boundaries both personal and client based. So please call and we can go forward with counselling.
My approach to counselling and therapy is first to create a place of safety for all clients that come to a session or at the moment Zoom calls. Clients are finding comfort from Zoom sessions at the moment giving you a definite sense of safety, but of course it's still face to face. Clients need to feel safe to explore and grow through an unconditional positive approach. Healing is a journey we all go through during traumatic times, no more so than the pandemic we are globally suffering at present, a stressful time for all. Healing leads to a space of self-discovery and new possibilities in life. We all need to feel heard at the moment, lockdown or not...
My first session
During a brief consultation 20 minutes via Zoom or phone we can collate information that will help during our first session. A this moment in time Im working via Zoom.
Zoom still enables face to face sessions, although not in person it can still be a time for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I enable a quiet comfortable space for you to discuss whatever you feel you are able to, and together we can address any issues you feel able to share.
