About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and professionally trained Integrative- Relational Psychotherapeutic Counsellor MBACP.
I have trained in Sensory Motor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems training at the IFS institute as well as starting Somatic Experiencing training.
I can offer help with a wide range of issues. I work with a diverse client group. I offer support with anxiety, depression, PTSD, Complex PTSD, OCD, bereavement, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, relationship issues, sexual difficulties, identity issues, sexuality, coming out later in life, gender identity, spirituality and suicidal ideation.
I work with Trauma at Khiron day care clinic Harley Street.
I have worked for many organisations including:
The NHS in primary care, a trans and non-binary people's holistic wellbeing and sexual health service in the Maudsley, a suicidal residential respite charity and other organisations such as Crisis and the Terrence Higgins Trust (Sex Workers In Sexual Health).
My background is in theatre so I like to bring creativity and fun into my work. I love yoga and dance which fuels my interest in work with the body. Mindfulness and meditation are tools i find helpful in assisting us living in the present.
I work collaboratively with my clients: it is particularly important to me to empower people to gain insight And relationship with parts of themselves and their body.
Practice description
An integrative-relational psychotherapeutic counsellor means I work with a range of different counselling and psycho-therapeutic theories. This approach is extremely effective in valuing the uniqueness of each client.
I have a background in theatre which allows me to bring curiosity, creativity and fun into my work. I love yoga and dance which fuels my interest in work with the body. Mindfulness and meditation are tools i find helpful in assisting us living in the present.
I work with the body(somatic experiencing and sensory motor psychotherapy)- body responses often can uncover hidden states, emotion and trauma. Somatic therapy is holistic and studies the relationship between the mind and body in regard to psychological past. Up to date research shows the old talking therapies and separating mind and body can be ineffective. We will build an awareness of how body positions stature and responses can impact on thought process and vice versa. With awareness and integration we can better live in the present moment.
If helpful we may look together at some ideas to explain and normalise your symptoms - drawing from neuroscience and ideas on the nervous system. I use Janina Fishers trauma informed stabilisation treatment to work on safely integrating trauma memories and theories on the nervous system such a polyvagal theory to create a safety within your own body decreasing symptoms such as anxiety stress and depression.
My work is client led, we go at your pace - I see my role as support and empowerment.

An integrative-relational psychotherapeutic counsellor means I work with a range of different counselling and psycho-therapeutic theories. This approach is extremely effective in valuing the uniqueness of each client.
I use relationships (including our relationship and your relationship with yourself), to guide and work with issues together to bring them into awareness.
I also work with the body(sensory motor psychotherapy and somatic experiencing) although this is something that I will contract around- safety and containment is important in any work that we may do together. Body responses often can uncover hidden states, emotion and trauma. Somatic therapy is holistic and studies the relationship between the mind and body in regard to psychological past.
