About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Integrative-Psychodynamic Counsellor (Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University), with 20 years of experience working within the caring professions. This includes supporting young people, families and adults under social care, youth justice & substance misuse services. Previous to training as a Counsellor and psychotherapist, I have completed both a BSc and MA in Psychology, and throughout my career, I have completed a range of specialist training aimed directly at supporting those with emotional, social and mental health difficulties. Key areas I have trained in include ADHD, Addiction, depression, family breakdown.

In addition to my private practice, I manage a team of Counsellors who deliver short-term individual therapy within the NHS. This service is for adults who are seen across G.P. surgeries in the London Borough of Lambeth.

I also have a professional background in Health and Fitness as a Head Squash coach. This follows being brought up in a family where engaging in a diverse range of sports was always encouraged, meaning I have always and continue to, enjoy for myself and promote in others, regular sport and exercise. Perhaps due to the environmental, as well as health benefits I have over the last 10 years become a regular cyclist. With my interest in sport and physical health alongside my career in emotional and mental health, plus many other influences, I have become increasingly aligned with non-dualism and its underlying approaches to science & philosophy. This approach highlights the centrality of compassion toward self (often damaged and requiring support to reestablish) and others for a healthy and successful lived experience. I, therefore recognize this perspective as central to the healing process.

From my Regent Street address, I work Thursday afternoon and evenings, currently with limited availability. Please, contact me for my current free time slots.
