About me and my therapy practice
I work in Salisbury with on-street parking, bus services and a nearby train station. Under certain circumstances, home counselling may be available, if you wish.
I offer open-ended and short-term counselling, with the aim of trying to help you come to a better understanding of your personal situation and support you in the changes you may wish to make. I enjoy working with all adults and young persons. I have extensive experience of working with people with Anxiety, Stress, Panic Attacks, Depression, Phobias, Eating Disorders, Bereavement, Relationship difficulties, OCD, PTSD and Combat Stress.
I believe it is never too late to change.
Our work is in a safe space at my home.
By exploring our thoughts and feelings we can identify unhelpful beliefs and patterns of behaviour that prevent us from living life in the way we would wish. Our life experiences influence who we are today. Sometimes past experiences affect our relationships and career negatively, or just leave us feeling disempowered and ‘stuck’.
Counselling offers an opportunity to develop insights into why we think and behave in certain ways. Increased understanding can help us make meaningful changes and build confidence which enables us to act proactively and respond more positively to difficult situations.
My first session
Our first session last for 90 mins (and costs £85).
It is only natural to feel nervous, coming to a new place and meeting a stranger for the first time. It would be surprising not to be! Our first session gives us an extended opportunity to get to know one another and for you to have the time to tell me about you and why you would like my help. It also gives me an chance to explain how I work and really get to understand you and how I may be able to help with you most productively in our time together.
