About me and my therapy practice
Integrative, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Yoga and Movement Therapist
Hello, I'm Lisa and I help women heal and transform through the therapeutic power of short term talking and body based therapies.
I am an experienced integrative, psychotherapeutic counsellor and also a yoga therapist, with extensive experience in working with women.
How can these sessions help you?
In this precious body and mind of ours, we hold a wealth of healthy power and possibility.
Sometimes, we need a compassionate, experienced person alongside us, to help us journey inwards to reconnect with ourselves, face our pain, reclaim our inner power and healing potential.
You may have particular life events you are facing, or perhaps you feel stuck or at a crossroads. You could be looking for support with ongoing challenges such as chronic illness, trauma, stress, overwhelm, anxiety, depression, and other emotional concerns. Our sessions together can help.
Often our pain and challenges are a gateway into a more beautiful way of living, but understandably, we cannot do this on our own. Part of our healing and growth can be to let another support us on our journey. I am here for this, to help your heal, grow, find and fulfil your visions and dreams.
What can you expect from our sessions together?
In our time together we will use a blend of therapeutic tools that I have explored and developed over the last 20 years.
Talking therapy, movement and body based techniques are at the heart of our work together ~ accessing the whole of our being to bring about positive change.
I will support you emotionally, through difficulties you are facing whilst we create your toolbox of powerful healing aids, for your journey of healing, growth and transformation.
Some examples of how we may work together;
~Having time and space to explore, express and understand your emotions and how they are affecting your life.
~Identifying what is bothering you and the underlying causes of your challenges, to bring about acceptance and change.
~Exploring where you feel stuck in life, resulting in releasing old feelings, to move forward in nourishing and nurturing ways.
~Going back to childhood memories to explore how the past may be playing out in the present, and finding ways together to heal old wounds.
I strongly believe we have the ability within, to create deep, lasting empowering change in our lives, which can be greatly enhanced through counselling and the therapeutic tools you will develop in your sessions.
In your protected, honoured time and space, we can combine many ways of working together, including talking, gentle movement and yoga, breath work and mindfulness to bring about healing and transformation.
My first session
In our first session together, we’ll talk through what has brought you to these sessions. It is also a time for you to consider if you wish to work with me and for us to ascertain if I can support your needs.
We'll then take it from here, and decide what you would like to do. I offer short term 6 / 12 weeks sessions.
