About me and my therapy practice
There are many reasons why you might reach out for counselling such as a challenging life event, seeking self-discovery or wanting to manage anxiety. The thought of starting therapy can be a journey in itself. Then begins the process of finding a counsellor who will be the right fit for you.
I am an accredited member of the BACP which means that I have been able to demonstrate high standards of training, competence and experience. I have a degree in Theology and Counselling and a Master’s in Psychology.
I work from a holistic and integrative perspective drawing on various theories and approaches to suit your individual needs. I provide a confidential, empathic and non-judgemental space for you to be able to share freely.
I believe that it is my role as a counsellor to journey alongside you to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours, working with you to achieve your therapeutic goals.
Sessions are normally weekly and last 50 minutes. They can be conducted face-to-face, online or over the phone. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy which can be discussed and agreed upon in the initial consultation.

My first session
Finding the right counsellor for you can contribute to how successful you find your sessions. The initial consultation is a time for me to gain some insight into what has brought you to therapy and to have a better understanding of what your goals might be. It is also a time for you to get to know me and to ask any questions. It will give you an idea of how sessions will be going forward if we continue to work together. The initial consultation is offered at a discounted rate of £40.
