About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor offering online counselling and psychotherapy across the UK, using a confidential video calling service.

My approach to counselling is integrative, which means that I draw from a combination of therapeutic styles based on the individual needs of my clients.

My aim is to offer accessible, affordable counselling and to provide a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space to support you in working through your thoughts and feelings. I offer a safe, confidential, and empathic environment where we can understand and work through whatever has brought you to therapy.

I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Integrative-Relational Counselling from Middlesex University. I have also achieved a Level 4 BSc in Psychology with Counselling Theory, and a Level 4 DipHE in Mental Health Nursing. I am qualified in Mental Health First Aid through Mental Health First Aid England.

My background is primarily in mental health support and working in the charity sector. I have significant experience within NHS services and in telephone crisis support. I also have a strong working knowledge of a variety of creative industries.

I adhere to the BACP ethical framework and code of practice, and maintain my counselling standards by regularly completing continual professional development. I report to a BACP accredited supervisor for support and guidance.

Practice description

I work with people experiencing a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and self-destructive patterns or behaviours. I often support clients to understand themselves better, helping them to understand who they are and what they want from life. This could include developing a stronger sense of identity, finding direction or purpose, dealing with career or relationship changes, or understanding your sexuality.

I regularly work with young adults, members of the LGBTQIA+ community and people working in creative professions, particularly in performing arts. That said, my practice is inclusive, and I welcome all clients aged eighteen and over, of all gender identities, sexualities, races, and ethnicities. I am committed to supporting equality and diversity, and to advocating for individuals facing discrimination.

My practice is currently online only. There can be advantages to working online,  as this means that you don't have to live nearby for us to work together, and you have the comfort and privacy of being in your own home. Online counselling also offers the flexibility of being able to fit a session into your schedule without having to allow for travel time.

I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on your needs.

My first session

If you would like to find out more about working together, I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute initial consultation via video-call or telephone. This is an opportunity for us to talk about how counselling might work for you, and for you to ask any questions you might have.

Following this initial consultation, a first session will involve me finding out more about you, what has brought you to therapy and your past experiences. I'll also talk to you about the counselling process and how I work, and answer any further questions.

Sessions can be held on Vsee, Zoom or Skype.
