About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults who are experiencing a variety of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relationship or family issues and more long-term patterns of behaviour which are having a negative impact on their lives.
My way of working is relational which means I believes that the relationship between us is one of the most important parts of your therapy. My professional training is Integrative; I thinks about what methods of working would be most helpful for you, drawing on a range of psychological theories including Humanistic, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT.
What to expect from counselling:
Initially we will explore your expectations of counselling and what you would like to achieve from our time together. Simply sharing the burden with someone who is trained to listen and support you can be enough. It is important to me that you have a warm and respectful space in which to explore what is troubling you and perhaps find new ways of coping.
I would normally see you for weekly 50 minute sessions, either for a fixed time (for example for six or twelve weeks) or for longer, more open-ended time if we agree that together.
If you would like to work together, or have any questions, please contact me and we can try and arrange a suitable time for an initial meeting.
