About me and my therapy practice
I use person-centered and psychodynamic approaches to counselling and believe the past, especially our relationship (or lack of relationship) with our parents/caregivers shapes the person we are today.
As your counsellor I provide a safe space for us to work through issues you are struggling with and aim to help you recognise and change unhelpful beliefs with a view to helping you towards becoming your best self.
I believe like a phoenix we all have the ability to rise from the ashes and it helps to have a counsellor who you feel is really in your corner.
You are unique and one size doesn’t fit all so I draw on elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotional Freedom technique and Gestalt therapy to help you tackle the issues that getting in the way of your happiness and are stopping you from living your best life.
No-one should have to suffer in silence and no-one is beyond help if they are willing to work at it.
You may be struggling with loneliness and want someone who really listens, and that’s what I'm here for. In addition to that if you are committed I will be committed to helping you to understand yourself better, with a view to empowering you to face your issue’s head on and putting you are the path towards becoming your best self!
I do both online and face to face sessions.
I work in a lovely and cosy therapy room at the heart of Putney, close to beautiful parks and the banks of the Thames as well as cafes. Location is less than a minutes walk from Putney Bridge Station and is easily accessible via public transport or car.
My first session
The assessment session is 50 minutes long allowing time for me to understand what you are struggling with and to consider ways of working.
It gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have and will give you a sense of whether I am the right counsellor for you.
