About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced counsellor offering sessions face to face and online for children, young people and adults. I also provide specialist counselling after pregnancy/baby loss.
Counselling for children & young people:
I specialise in working with children & adolescents, supporting young people who are struggling with unprocessed feelings and emotional, relational and behavioural difficulties.
When a child or young person is struggling with their mental health and emotional wellbeing it can have a significant impact on the wellbeing of a whole family. As a BACP registered counsellor I can help your child understand the difficulties, find ways to overcome them and gain valuable coping skills for the future.
Counselling for pregnancy/baby loss:
I also provide specialist counselling for anyone affected by miscarriage, poor pregnancy diagnosis, stillbirth, neonatal loss and antenatal anxiety following previous loss/losses.
I trained in an integrative model of counselling, which means I use a number of different therapeutic approaches to respond to the needs of individuals. In addition to talking therapy, I offer creative ways to help self expression such as use of art media, sand play and creative writing.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute initial telephone consultation to discuss how counselling might help you and answer any questions you may have about my practice and approach.
You can contact me on 07726923324.
Please leave your name and contact details, together with a brief message, and I will phone you back to discuss your concerns and how I might be able to help.
If you would prefer to email me, please include your contact details and a brief message outlining your concerns and I will get back to you: lynetteosullivancounselling@gmail.com
For children & young people: I understand that children and young people often feel nervous about a first appointment. I can meet with you and your child together for the first session, either face to face or online if preferred, and I will make every effort to put your child at ease and ensure that they understand that I am here to help. This first session will usually be for an hour. This will give you the opportunity to tell me about the difficulties, provide any relevant family history or background and discuss what you would like from counselling. Then if your child is comfortable with it, they can meet with me alone for some of the time.
