About me and my therapy practice
Hello & Welcome,
Everybody's story is different. The impact of the emotional experience is unique and it can be hard to know what to look for when finding someone to work with. I hope here to give a flavour of how I work and say whatever you are feeling today it’s possible to change with care , support and time.
I’m an experienced BACP accredited psychotherapist & my aim is to offer a space where you feel able to express yourself, explore your life, experience your feelings and find the emotional freedom, literacy and confidence to navigate whatever is affecting you. Who we relate to and feel comfortable with is personal and a major contributor to the therapy experience and effectiveness .
Almost 10 years into my career, I have a broad base of experience. I’ve worked in secondary schools with young people specialising in anxiety and family issues, in a charity, with childhood trauma, life transitions, grief & loss and within the NHS supporting staff.
How we adapt, grow and change is the source of my personal and professional motivation. It’s one of the hardest things we try to do, and often we don’t have support to help us. We may not be aware of what we want or what’s stopping us, especially if life feels difficult ,so my aim is to create a space where you feel safe, supported and heard .
As well as a sound theory and a solid clinical practice background, I also bring a good dose of ‘Life’, which is continually being enhanced by the privilege of working with every client to date. This experience and the journey we are all on continually inspire me to provide the best possible therapy I can.
During the Coronavirus outbreak I am working in line with Government advice on-line or on the telephone and offer a reduced initial assessment fee at £25 to give you the opportunity to explore how we work together and for me to assess whether I have the best skills to support you.
