About me and my therapy practice

I am a highly qualified psychotherapist, counsellor and life coach with over ten years experience. I offer an affordable rate to make psychotherapy, counselling and life coaching more accessible to individuals.

I have gained extensive experience within my private practice working with individuals, young people and children with a wide range of psychological and emotional issues. I have previous experience working within GP’s surgery and provided an outreach counselling service for the Women’s Refuge.

Experiential psychotherapy, focusing and person-centred counselling together form a gentle, effective and empowering process to initiate positive lasting change. It will enable you to move forward with a fresh new perspective, creating a new way of being with yourself, enhancing your relationships and the wider environment.

Life coaching is fundamentally about helping individuals create a better understanding how to set and achieve goals and ambitions. This is done by exploring the obstacles that stand in your way and the skills you can harness, build on or develop to overcome them, making the most out of your life and living your full potential.

Practice description

I follow the government’s guidelines concerning Covid to ensure that my practice remains a safe and virus free environment.

My practice is located within a peaceful, private and confidential setting. For those who can not make it to my practice I offer Skype, FaceTime or telephone sessions. I also provide a home visit service within the Argyll and Bute area.

My first session

Each session lasts for one hour. This is space for you to explore what has brought you to therapy (or coaching), what you would like to achieve and to ensure that the therapy I offer is the right approach for you. There is no obligation to continue therapy but should you wish to do so, we will then arrange an appointment once a week at a time and day that is convenient for you.

As each individual’s experience is unique the length of therapy varies from short term, usually 6 weeks, to long term which is open ended for as long as you feel you require it.
