About me and my therapy practice
As a gestalt therapist my approach is to provide a safe and supportive space for us to understand how you are navigating your life. We will explore your current situation and focus on the issues you would like to work on. I will support you to deepen your awareness and nurture your ability for self-compassion. We will also identify where old patterns are no longer serving you, and ultimately strengthen your relationship with yourself, others and the environment. I have personally found therapy profoundly helpful and love having the opportunity to facilitate others on their unique journey.
There are numerous reasons why you might reach out for additional support, and therapy is often sought when life is most challenging. However, it can also be a way of maintaining health and be part of a desire for self growth and deeper connections. Whatever your reason for seeking support, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
My first session
After an initial phone call we can arrange an initial appointment. This is an opportunity for you to have some space and time to share your current situation and ask me any questions you may have about me or how I work. I will also ask you further questions about your background and take some notes (just in the initial meeting). This meeting is also a way for us to see if we are a good fit for working together and make a plan for how to proceed from there. If we decide to work together I offer a minimum of a six session block and recommend weekly, though I can be flexible if only fortnightly is possible for you. This gives us the best chance to build a working alliance and start to address what you are wanting to work on.
