I am a certified Telephone and Online counsellor and have seen most of my clients in an online setting over the past year.
I also have a private therapy room in Longtown, North Cumbria. The hours there are flexible. I am available between 9am and 6pm.
About me and my therapy practice
My name is Ralf.
If you are reading this, chances are that you are in a place and time in your life where you are searching for some support. This can be a daunting moment and it requires a little brave-heartedness to acknowledge this and take the next step. I want to encourage you to take that step and make contact.
I am a trained Integrative counsellor and member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am trained as a professional Onine and Telephone counsellor and believe that online counselling is as effective as face to face work.
Over the years I have found that the person centred approach is the very helpful and allows me to work with a wide range of issues and individuals. In addition to my training, I have over 30 years of experience in mindfulness and contemplative practice. Both this training and practice work well together to help me deliver a beneficial therapy to my clients.
I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, challenges and emotions. This space will help you to find your own understanding of what is going on for you. The aim of my work is for you to find, or reconnect with your own inate resilience and refresh resourcefulness, through finding meaning in a difficult time.
This exploration can be done face-to-face in the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in a therapy room in Longtown, in North Cumbria, or over the phone or online via Zoom.
I work as a bereavement counsellor at Hospice @ Home, North Lakes and Carisle, and I am trained as a Death Doula and can offer support for people in the last phase of their lives.
An alternative to meeting in person as a counselling client is to connect online. More and more counselling clients are choosing this option. Especially in the present circumstance, due to Covid-19 restrictions, online counselling has experience a surge in users.
Online counselling can be an attractive option. You don't have to travel and don't have to spend time doing so. It is an easy and safe way to connect and when you get used to the screen face-to- face time, it can be a very effective way to do counselling.
You can choose to participate with me by telephone alone or better still, by video camera.
I use zoom as a platform. This is a secure and easy to use platform and it works on all devices without the need to download software.
If you are interested in working with me in this way and if you have any questions at all, please do get in touch and we can discuss your options.
