About me and my therapy practice
Different people need different things at different times.
As a counsellor, I am inviting you to explore your own story, in the presence of an attentive, non-judgmental and reflective fellow traveler to foster greater understanding of how it is that you relate to the world around you to find way to help you navigate it.
Therapy is a time and a space to be heard, to build awareness, strength and spontaneity to help you.
It is in the space between the way we cope and awareness in our everyday lives that we open a space in which to find understanding and possibility.
I am experienced working with ethnically and culturally diverse clients both long and short term ranging from 13 plus in navigating a wide range of emotional challenges including anxiety and depression.
Some of my clients have survived traumas, including abuse. Some of them seek therapy to learn how to understand and manage anger, stress, panic attacks and nightmares.
At all times, I keep a non-judgmental stance, aiming to support them in a search for meaning, strength and stronger relationships.
However tragic life events can be, they are always accompanied by choices: these choices may be somewhat limited, but it is their very existence which allows for reflection and understanding.
It is my hope that through therapy you are able:
To take more control of your life and emotions, to choose and act in ways that feels right for you, and to grow in self-awareness and confidence.
As a passenger on this journey the relationship between client and therapist is both unique and precious, built on trust and collaboration.
Therefore, an initial consultation is offered to explore how counselling may benefit you.
If you feel that counselling may benefit you or you are not sure then feel free to get in touch with me.
