About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified mental health therapist who runs a nationwide online practice and in-person clinics in Bolton, & Greater Manchester. Before starting private practice, I worked in both talking therapy in the NHS (IAPT Psychological Therapy) in drug & alcohol misuse services, primary care mental health services, NHS hospitals and I volunteered for a domestic abuse refuge and outreach centre for families and children. I work in a client-centred and holistic way with individuals aged from 16 year old and upwards.

I work with single incident trauma such as assaults and accidents, more complex PTSD due to abuse or being exposed to life threatening or horrific events. I offer comprehensive mental health services for individuals who have experienced:

Low mood, depression including peri and post-natal depression (for men and women)

Trauma, domestic violence, long term abuse, health related. dissociation, sexual abuse

Relationship issues (with individuals), separation & divorce, affairs and betrayals, lying, emotional abuse, jealousy.

Practice description

I work collaboratively with you to address issues which might be causing disruption to your sense of identity, control and achievement, your self-esteem, quality of life or relationships. Working collaboratively with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, & family conflicts. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I work in a trauma-informed way, tailoring therapy to suit your goals and help you aim for success. You then have the space to explore what might be causing disruption in your life at present, becoming more aware of past and present issues so that you can move forward with confidence towards a life worth living, learning the crucial truth that you are worthy of it.

I am a warm, empathetic therapist who will support you to explore sometimes difficult or distressing issues in a safe and boundaried way. I work to offer integrative therapeutic approaches to best suit you and the issues you want to bring. I am confidential and non-judgemental.

I offer Online or Telephone therapy for individuals in the United Kingdom and I offer in-person therapy for clients in and around the Bolton, Greater Manchester area.

My first session

I offer a free brief telephone consultation to discuss your requirements in a little more detail. Should you decide to book a session, I will then forward you some paperwork outlining the ethical framework I follow and the practicalities of how the sessions run. We will discuss and complete this in our first session. We will begin to explore your reasons for coming to counselling and explore your goals.

You can use the free consultation session to discuss what you would like to get out therapy, and ask any questions you may have about how we may work together. 

I am a Registered Person Centred, CBT & Addiction Counselling Practitioner. I am registered with the Addiction Professionals Ethical Body & a Registered Member with the MBACP. I combine my passion for CBT Counselling and a Holistic Bespoke Approach with Addiction, Domestic Abuse and Trauma Specialism. I offer Bespoke individual Recovery Programs, combining talking therapy, education, evidence based treatment interventions and Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic Counselling With 6 years of professional work experience supporting clients with issues including trauma, mental health difficulties and challenging life circumstances in the community and hospital social care settings, NHS Drug & Alcohol & IAPT Services, Domestic Abuse Refuge and Outreach settings, mental health fields including NHS Hospitals and private practice, working with adults and young people aged 16 years +.

I collaborate with a fully registered clinical supervisor, meaning you'll benefit from the expertise of multiple therapists.

I am Insured, DBS checked & Registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) your information is stored safely.
