About me and my therapy practice
My name is Robert Cunliffe and I am a qualified counsellor, registered with the BACP, with five years counselling experience. I am also someone with many very varied life experiences, including being a university lecturer, a prison teacher and the father and carer of a child with autism and severe learning difficulties.
I firmly believe in the benefits of counselling, the positive impacts it can have on people's lives. I also believe counselling should be made more accessible, provided at more affordable rates than are customary. We should all have the opportunity to be able to access therapy to help alleviate distress and to turn our lives around.
My particular areas of expertise are addictions, anger, loss and bereavement, PTSD, long-term and enduring mental health issues, living with disability and problems associated with being a full-time carer. I have first-hand experience, personal or professional, of addressing all these matters.
