Is it difficult to let other people know how you really feel on the inside ?
Maybe changes taking place in your life have left you experiencing anxiety and depression, perhaps you're feeling stuck and unable to move forward. Sometimes life seems difficult to cope with.
Possibly you're struggling with a current relationship at home or work and starting to realise that some of the choices you've made are part of a repeating pattern and you'd like to explore and understand the pattern to make better choices in the future.
I offer both short term, solution focused therapy and when we both think it might be needed, longer term therapy. The crucial thing is that we collaborate to work at a pace and in a way that is going to be right for you.
My professional philosophy ?
Every person is different, their story is unique to them. I think that is important.
I believe it is absolutely possible to change some of the thoughts and emotions that are hampering your life. Firstly you need to find the time and space, somewhere you feel secure enough to begin expressing some tricky thoughts and feelings with someone that you trust, someone trained to work in a professional capacity with your emotions. That will be the starting point for making the changes you need.
I was fortunate to be trained and guided by some of the most influential practitioners and thinkers in the profession. Having worked for a number of mental health organisations I now focus on my private practice. I've enjoyed working with a diverse range of international clients, had experience with a range of presenting issues with clients aged from six years through to sixty and beyond.
Covid-19 and my practice.
The best way to beat the pandemic is to follow the UK government guideline, socially distancing to help reduce the rise in infections. I will be continuing to see existing clients and welcoming new ones through sessions held on-line during the time that the government advise social distancing. I have a lot of experience working on line across a number of different platforms, and whilst this is different from person to person sessions, on line work is just as successful.
When session space is available I am offering low cost sessions to people now on a reduced income on Friday morning.

Making the decision to start to work on personal and emotional problems is a brave step. To help you make sure I'm the right person to help you I offer a free first brief session which gives you a chance to see how it feels to talk to me and what it's like to have your voice heard.
