About me and my therapy practice

I’m a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist based in Bristol, offering online or walk and talk counselling to anyone aged 15 and over. I’m passionate about making therapy accessible and empowering.

As a humanistic counsellor, I work from the believe that you have all you need to start being the person you want to be, or living the life you want to live, sometimes we just need some help and guidance to access it. Counselling is also about connecting with the values you hold in creating the kind of person you hope to be.

I wok from a Person-Centred foundation, so I don’t believe I am the expert of you. Instead, I aim to help you navigate through challenges rather than analyse or interpret, and approach our sessions with curiosity, rather than judgement, to find out what works for you. This means we work at your pace and there is never any pressure to talk about something unless you feel ready to do so.

Ultimately, I want you to leave our sessions and time together feeling you are able to identify and take actions that help you experience life fully and meaningfully, in the direction you would like to move in.

I offer discounted rates to frontline NHS and emergency service staff.

Practice description

I offer walk and talk or online counselling sessions.

The fee is £55 for a 50 minute session.

I offer walk and talk sessions in Blaise Castle Estate, North Bristol, or on the Clifton Downs. Information on what to expect is available on my website along with maps and a list of frequently asked questions.

My website also contains more information for online counselling and how these sessions might look.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute introductory telephone call if you would like one, where you are free to ask any questions or queries you might have. We can also go over our working agreement.

You can then take some time to think about it, or we can arrange our first session, whether it be online or walk and talk. I'll make sure you have all the information you need ahead of time to make our first session feel safe and comfortable.

I often recommend agreeing to review our work after six sessions, but you are not tied into any number of sessions and can stop at any time. There is also the option for longer term work beyond six sessions.
