Our accredited member to senior accredited member route 4: Dual membership transfer route is for BACP accredited members who also hold current membership with ACC, BPC, NCPS or UKCP aligned to column C of the SCoPEd framework.
The partnership of counselling and psychotherapy bodies (PCPB) partners have agreed that members seeking membership with more than one PCPB professional body will not need to have their SCoPEd competences reassessed. However, it’s recognised that some partners may have additional criteria that need to be met to move into the corresponding SCoPEd aligned membership category.
BACP accredited members have already met BACP’s standards for accreditation in their initial accreditation application and so the application process for this route is minimal.
If you’re successful in your application you’ll be able to use the designatory letters ‘Registered Member MBACP (Snr Accred)’,promote yourself as aligned to column C of the SCoPEd framework alongside your BACP membership and the other benefits of senior accreditation.
