Registered membership to accredited membership route 2 – from February 2026 For registered members who’ve successfully completed core training that meets the eligibility for individual accreditation but haven’t completed either a BACP accredited course or a BACP accredited or approved progression training (aligned to column B of the SCoPEd framework) since initial qualification.
Approved progression qualification: SCoPEd framework column B competences For awarding organisations who have designed a qualification that enables students to gain competences aligned to column B of the SCoPEd framework.
Previous senior accredited (awarded prior to 2023) to revised senior accredited membership route 5 – from February 2026 For previous or current senior accredited members (awarded prior to 2023), who don’t have a relevant, validated Level 7 (or equivalent) counselling and psychotherapy qualification and are therefore not able to apply during the transition period.
Approved progression qualification: SCoPEd framework column B and C competences For awarding organisations who have designed a qualification that enables students to gain competences aligned to column B and C of the SCoPEd framework.
