I am currently in my third year of a MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling at Staffordshire University and currently completing my final project which has been ethically approved. I am a student member of the BACP and work in accordance with the ethical framework.

This study will involve approximately a 1 hour, 1:1 interview, asking carefully chosen questions about your lived experiences. Counsellors/ therapists, male or female of all modalities are welcome to participate. I am looking for a qualified counsellor/ therapist who self-harmed more than 2 years ago (currently doesn’t and has sourced support for this prior to this study) through cutting/ burning and currently has an active client caseload. My study will explore your personal experiences of self-harm through cutting and burning and how this has impacted your clinical practice?

I am aware that this is a very sensitive topic, so the utmost care will be taken to provide a confidential and safe place for you.
If you are interested in taking part, please contact me for further information at s019030c@student.staffs.ac.uk

Many thanks
